Cliff Media’s Consent Educator, Adrian Martin, offered these words of love this morning.
“Cliff Media just became something even more critical to the world. Marginalized people like us are now the most important force in this country.
Artists, queer folks, women, people with disabilities, Black, Indigenous and people of color, sex workers and all the people who simply think or live outside the box.
We are the way forward. We need to organize, play, imagine, educate, fuck, and love our way into the future that we want and deserve.”
We extend our invitation to you for upcoming events at the Cliff House in Portland.
We also remember a couple of our core values.
For one, the truth sets us free. Being open about who you are can be hard and depending on the circumstances of your life, perhaps even scary. But it can also be one of the most liberating things that you can do for yourself and others.
Two, it’s okay to be messy, awkward, and human. Sometimes life feels confusing. Relationships feel hard, or emotions come at us in waves. It’s okay to let yourself move through all the complicated realities of being alive.
